Cleaning glass and windows

First prepare a solution of warm water with a squirt of Dawn (just a little – you don’t want too many suds). Dip a sponge into the solution and squeeze out excess. Clean the window, glass table top or mirror with the sponge and when clean, wipe off the excess moisture with cloth or a squeegee. With windows the best way to do this is to use a side to side motion ensuring that you regularly wipe the squeegee blade with a cloth, working from top to bottom.
Now the magic – make sure you have absorbed most of the moisture and then give the glass a final shine by finalizing the drying process with a ball of scrunched up newspaper – yes, newspaper! The shine will be amazing and you will not have any streaks to deal with. Give it a try and you’ll never discard those old newspapers again.
